Overview

Inside The Book

I have derived a significant understanding from my dual experience as a spiritual leader and a businessman. It is a common tendency among Christians to seek divine intervention for financial betterment. However, I believe miracles are not simply bestowed; they result from seizing opportunities and applying diligent effort. It is a fallacy for Christians to rely solely on prayer to alter their circumstances. The Almighty is not a conjuror of tricks but a divine entity who appreciates sincere hard work. For any desired outcome to manifest, you must demonstrate your willingness to strive relentlessly toward your goals.

Often, women possess an innate ability to perceive worth in things quicker than men; men usually take longer to see this value. However, when they eventually do, they commit to it wholeheartedly. Women, on the other hand, have a quicker understanding of value. Yet, within the family structure, it's crucial to impart traditional values, emphasizing the necessity for prayer and respect. Acknowledge that both man and woman were crafted by the divine hand, assigning each their respective roles and responsibilities.

I firmly believe in the existence of both inherent and ethical values supplemented by other outside influences. One such external influence that I find crucial is punctuality. This concept has often been a point of contention between my children and me, as I have continuously emphasized the importance of time management. This conviction extends even to religious settings. I feel a sense of embarrassment when individuals arrive late to church services. Even when attending sermons conducted by other pastors, I detest tardiness on my part, mainly if my children cause it. It significantly detracts from my enjoyment. I stand firm and unwavering in my beliefs regarding something non-negotiable, like the reverence for the divine.

Life is a profound journey with challenges, choices, and defining moments that shape our character. Each experience, whether a professional milestone or a personal dilemma, is a chapter in our story, teaching us invaluable lessons. This book segment delves into a collection of poignant narratives, each offering a distinct lesson. From understanding life's pecking order to the necessity of unwavering values, these chapters aren't just accounts of personal experiences; they are universal truths that resonate with each of us. Let us embark on this enlightening journey and uncover the wisdom in these life stories.

In The Path Less Traveled, You Will Learn

My mother was an everyday woman, a street vendor, selling food to passers-by in the bustling streets of Lagos. Following African traditions, she often carried me on her back during her daily rounds. Unfortunately, she is no longer with us today. However, forgetting her resolve and strength during the war is impossible. Despite the adversities and chaos, she cared for and fed us, never letting her business falter.

Seeing many individuals trapped in a monotonous nine-to-five job disheartens me. My spouse falls into this category, and I'm always amazed at her ability to persist. She's constantly immersed in the same routine tasks, whereas I thrive on the diverse opportunities my various ventures provide. This diversity fuels my enthusiasm and commitment to my businesses.

Our operations were thriving, and our family was enjoying a comfortable income. However, the post-pandemic phase introduced unforeseen challenges. The cost of diesel began to escalate drastically, and one of my trucks suffered significant damage, which led to an imbalance between my earnings and losses, with the latter taking the upper hand.

From that moment, I was driven by a genuine desire to share my understanding with every member of my religious community. This felt particularly crucial to me because, a few years earlier, we had suffered the loss of our Pastor's wife. Not long before this, her younger sibling succumbed to cancer. These incidents made me ponder over the safety net for the remaining family members. It could make a significant difference if they had a substantial million-dollar insurance cover bridging life and death. Though money isn't the key element, when dealing with a relative battling cancer, the last thing one needs is the added burden of financial worries during such emotionally charged times.

The numerous accomplishments I have under my belt wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of my family. An illustration of this is my offspring. I tread lightly here to avoid sounding boastful, but I would put it this way. Were you to question anyone in our community about the progeny of Pastor Friday, they would affirm that my children, through divine grace, began to mature as we significantly influenced their lives positively.

Recognizing our purpose in life is of paramount importance. Integral to this understanding is a deep appreciation for the virtue of humility. This value plays a significant role in discerning where we truly belong.

There was an instance when my mother leased unfinished property for me. I had no option but to sleep on a mat on the bare floor. This challenging experience taught me one vital lesson: to capitalize on my abilities. It instilled a work ethic that required relentless effort, gradually paving the way for opportunities. However, I understood that these doors wouldn't unlock themselves; I needed to put in the necessary labor to open them.

I firmly believe in the existence of both inherent and ethical values supplemented by other outside influences. One such external influence that I find crucial is punctuality. This concept has often been a point of contention between my children and me, as I have continuously emphasized the importance of time management.
